Angela Downs
September 1, 1928 – March 2, 2009
On Monday, March 2, 2009 Angela passed away peacefully at the age of 80 years. Angela was predeceased by her husband Walter in 1993; parents William and Katherine Moser; sisters Mary (Martin) Weist, Ethel (James) Tanouye, Leona (John) Pekush; brothers Jim (Clara), Vincent (Kate) and Pius. Angela is survived by daughters Darlene (Brendan) Norman, Diane (Terry) Spencer, Heather (Bob) Shillingford; grandchildren Jason Norman (Amy), Garrett Norman (Courtney), April Berndt (Dan), Tyler Berndt (Amy) and Ryan Shillingford (Krystal); great grandchildren Kasandra, Troy, Hunter and Liam Norman and Trace Berndt; sister Madeline Baumgartner; and numerous nephews and nieces. Angela was born on September 1, 1928 in Regina and raised in Odessa, SK. After living in Calgary from 1953 to 1960, she returned to Regina. Upon retiring in 1993 she continued to enjoy outings for coffee with the girls, going for walks, visiting with family, playing cards and finding those interesting books which she spent hours reading. Special thanks to all the “sisters” at Providence Place for their support and care. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Angela may be made to a favorite charity of one’s choice or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 2360 2nd Avenue, Regina, SK S4R 1A6.
