Jean Elizabeth McKay 1921 - 2005 Jean E. McKay, 83, a former resident of Maple Trail Lane in Riverview, passed away at The Briarlea in Moncton on Saturday, July 16, 2005. Born in Northport, NS, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Greeno) Angus. Jean was a member of St. John's United Church, Moncton and a member of the UCW. She was a charter member of the Moncton Lionettes and a former member of the Beaver Curling Club. She is survived by one son, Ronald "Ron" McKay and his wife, Barb of Upper Coverdale; grandchildren, Billy (Nicki) McKay, Michael (Tisha) McKay and David and Loison Geldart; great grandchildren, Colton and Skylar, Devon and Blake; sister-in-law, Alice Angus of Springhill, NS; brothers-in-law, Don McKay (Peg) and Alvin (Annie); and by several nieces and nephews. Jean was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis "Lew" McKay in July 1992; sisters, Ethel, Elsie and Marie; and brothers, Wallace, Chandler and Gerald. There is no viewing at the funeral home as cremation has taken place. The Funeral Service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 11:00 am with Rev. Aaron Billard officiating. The family will be receiving relatives and friends immediately following the service in the reception area of the funeral home. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton, NB. Donations in Jean's memory made to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital "Oncology Dept." or to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by her family.
