Armand Poirier
Armand Poirier 1925 - 2005 NOTRE-DAME, NB - Armand Poirier, 79, husband of Marceline LeBlanc, of Notre-Dame, NB, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born in MacDougall Settlement on August 6, 1925 he was the son of the late Adelard Poirier and Madeleine Léger. He was a Forestry Contractor and attended Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur Church, Notre Dame. He was a 4th degree K of C of the Mgr. Albénie LeBlanc Assembly, and former member of the Board of Directors of the NotreDame Caisse Populaire. Besides his wife, Marceline Poirier of Notre-Dame, he is survived by three daughters, Francine Patterson (Jim), Joanne Poirier, both of Moncton, and Gracia Williston (Allen) of Shediac Bridge; five sons, Roland (Yolande), Danny (Louise), Serge, Luc all of NotreDame, and Eugène (Simone) of Sussex; four sisters, Rita Bourque (Henry), Aline Boudreau (Paul) both of Moncton, Bernadette Robichaud (Gerard) of MacDougall Settlement, Thérèse Boland of Toronto; eight brothers Léandre (Irène) of Toronto, Robert (Marie-Jeanne), Ulysse both of Moncton, René (Noella), Lionel (Fernande) both of Notre-Dame, Lawrence (Stella) of Cocagne, Gerard (Rose) of Shediac Bridge, Guy (Anna) of Shediac; ten grandchildren, Monique, Michelle, Marc, Renée, Nathalie, Matthew, Martin, Sébastien, Josée, Bianca; two great-grandchildren, Alexandre and Julia; as well as several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one brother, Rodulph. Resting at Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Notre-Dame de Kent on Friday, July 22, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and Saturday from 9 to 10:45am. Funeral Service at Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 11:00am. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers, donations to the Dr. Georges-L.
