Ephrem J. Richard 1938 - 2005 It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of our dear father, Ephrem Richard, 67, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at The Moncton Hospital on August 1, 2005 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Baie-Ste-Anne on June 17, 1938, he was the son of the late Edmond Richard 2001 and is survived by his mother, Arilda (Theriault) Richard (Villa du Repos). He is also survived by his wife, Marguerite (Noble) Richard, and was a loving and devoted father and grandfather to four daughters, Charline (Bernard), Aaron, Travis, Paula (Willie), Jacqueline (Brian), Maeve, Megan, Bronwyn, Kimberly (Dave), Breanna, Jonathan; and one son, Gary (Nadine) and Cody; five sisters, Simone (Guy) Collin (Edmundston), Martine and the late (Paul) Manuel (St. Louis-de-Kent), Edmonde (Ludger) Turbide, Carmen Richard, Marie-Reine Richard; one brother, Omer (Yolande) Richard (all of Moncton); and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a very special friend. He was a graduate from the College Sacré Coeur de Bathurst in 1952, and he was employed with NBLCC as Manager at various liquor stores throughout Moncton. During his life, he was very active with the Knights of Columbus, Club d'Age D'or (Christ de Roi), Fairlanes Bowling Team, fishing, the BiCentennial Skating Club and many musical gatherings and organizations. Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton on Thursday, August 4, 2005 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at Notre Dame de Grace Roman Catholic Church on Friday, August 5, 2005 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Moncton Oncology Unit or a memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
