Belva G. Smith 1944 - 2005 RIVERVIEW, N.B. - Belva Genevieve Smith, wife of David Smith, Riverview, NB, passed away at The Moncton Hospital surrounded by her family on August 10, 2005 at the age of 61. Born in Riverside, NB on July 23, 1944, Belva was the daughter of the late Norman and the late Vivian (Huckins) Dornan. Belva will be so deeply missed by her childhood/high school sweetheart and husband of 41 years, David Smith and their three sons, Darrin (Carey) of Moncton, Craig (Wendy) of Ottawa, ON, and Todd (Paula) of Lower Coverdale; six grandchildren, Connor, Summer, Sierra, Erica, Peyton and Savannah. Belva will also be missed by her brother, Lawson Dornan (Sharon); and sister, Wanda Gillette (Brian); and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Belva was predeceased by a brother, Darrell. Belva worked at Shopper's Drug Store in Riverview for a number of years and was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces (Reserves) at Cold Lake, Alta; Eastern New Brunswick Militia District HQ and 37 Brigade HQ Moncton, NB before her retirement in 1999. The family will be meeting with relatives and friends on Friday evening from 7 to 9pm at the Albert County Funeral Home, Hopewell Cape. Parish Prayers and sharing memories of Belva will take place Friday evening at 8pm at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at 10:00am at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Riverside-Albert, NB. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the Riverside-Albert Recreation Centre for further sharing of memories and refreshments. In lieu of flowers donations to the "Friends Of The Moncton Hospital Foundation" would be appreciated. Belva's laughter and humour will be with us always.
