J. Benoit Leger

J. Benoit Leger MEMRAMCOOK, NB -J. Benoit Leger of Foyer St-Thomas (formerly of McGinley) passed away at his residence on Thursday, August 25, 2005 at the age of 85. Born in McGinley, he was the son of the late Eloi Leger and the late Sarah Cormier. He worked at CN for 30 years as a Conductor until his retirement. He was a life member and Past President of Legion Branch #89, Past District Commander of the Legion, Past President and member of the Golden Age Club of Memramcook and a member of the Memramcook Historic Society. He was a Veteran, Corporal in the Cipher Operator Signal Corps, of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Despres) Leger, of 63 years of marriage; three daughters, Francine (Fred) LeBlanc of Ottawa, Denise (Jean-Marc) Collin of La Montain and Marcia (Roger) Cormier of Dieppe; two sons, Marc Benoi (Marthe) Leger of Moncton and Roger (Shauna) of Halifax; one sister, Anita (late Rene) LeBlanc of Moncton; one brother, Guy (Alphonsine) Leger of Moncton; eight grandchildren, Dominique, Melanie, Natacha, Xavier, Sebastien, Cacylia, Justin, Marie-Dominique and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Medard (1999); one sister, Eliane and by two brothers, Leopold and Lorenzo. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home on Sunday, August 28 , 2005 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and on Monday, August 29 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral will be held on Monday, August 29 at 11:00 am at St. Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church, St. Joseph. Interment in the Parish cemetery. Arrangement are in care of Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook
