James Pappas

James Pappas 1936 - 2005 James Pappas of Riverview, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton on Sunday, August 28, 2005 at the age of 68 years. Jim worked for 37 years as an employee for General Motors in Oshawa, Ontario. He was involved in the Riverview Lions Club. He was a past patron of Fidelity Chapter OES, a member of Masonic Lodge F&AM 52, a member of Moncton Shrine Club, Shriners Oriental Band, a member of Scottish Rite, a member the Bethyl Presbyterian Church and a member of the men's group within the church. He is survived by his wife, Pam (Lawrence); two daughters, Thea (Jamie) Trenholm, Oshawa, ON, Andrea Pappas (Carl), Mississagua, ON; stepsons, Brian Moore, Mississauga, ON and David (Traci) Moore, Oshawa, ON; sister, Gloria (Allen) McGarrity, Riverview; brother, Deno (Cathy) Pappas, Riverview; sister-in-law, Diane (John) Platt, Carnarvon, ON, Joan Inglis, Scarborough,ON, Lois and Patricia Pappas, Oshawa, ON; also by four grandchildren. Besides his parents, Gus Pappas and Clementine McKee, Jim was predeceased by brothers, Peter, George, and Nicholas Pappas. Visitation will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. There will be an a Masonic Service at 6:30pm, an Eastern Star service at 6:45pm, and a Lions Service at 7:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 1, 2005 at 2:00pm with Rev. Charles Cook officiating. Interment will be in Wesleyan Union Cemetery. Donations may be made to Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation (Oncology Department) or to the Luxor Shriners Childrens Transportation Fund and Bethel Presbyterian Church Fund.
