Jean J. Poirier 1957 - 2005 Jean J. Poirier, 48, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, September 10, 2005 after a brief illness. Born in Notre Dame, he was the loving son of Elizabeth (Godin) Poirier of Bouctouche, and the late Antoine Poirier. Jean attended Beausejour School and was a graduate of Mathieu Martin and Moncton Community College. He worked for many years with various moving companies and was a member of the Carpenters Union. Besides his mother, Jean is survived by his special friend, Shirley MacDonald; step-son, Stephen Boucher; sisters, Noella Landry (Laurie) Bouctouche, Gladys Fontaine (Gerry) Notre Dame, Patsy McGrath (Francois) MacDougall Settlement; brothers, Norman (Alice), Cocagne, Remi (Karen), Scotch Settlement; several nieces and nephews. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton, (858-1995), Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, September 14, 2005, 3pm. Refreshments following the service. Interment St. Pierre Cemetery, Cocagne.
