Neil A. Troop MIDGIC NB - The death of Neil A. Troop, age 71, of Midgic, NB, occurred on Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Center. Neil was born the youngest son of the late Earl and Irene (Kilcup) Troop, graduating from Mount Allison in 1954, he worked for nearly 30 years in the CNR Car Shops in Moncton. Living at Lutes Mountain, he attended the Church of the Nazarene and was a choir member. His many friends at Lutes Mountain kept in touch with him after he moved to Midgic in 1990, and prayed for him during his battle with cancer. Neil was an avid gardener and shared much of his bounty with friends and neighbours, a lover of nature he made oil paintings of life around him. In addition to being missed by his family and friends, he will be missed by the birds and squirrels that he spent much time feeding every winter. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Grace (Murray); daughter, Ann Troop of South Korea; and son Norvel at home. He was predeceased by his brother, Laurie in 1964 and several aunts and uncles. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300), from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 2 pm, Rev. Dale Thistle officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1 pm until the time of the service. Burial in the Midgic Cemetery. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
