Ernest Gerard Harrington 1922 - 2005 The death of Ernest Gerard Harrington, 83 years, husband of Kathleen (Ryan) Harrington of Lorentz Drive, Moncton occurred at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Sunday, December 4, 2005. Born in Saint John on June 12, 1922, he was the son of the late Ernest and Stella (Flood) Harrington. Ernest had been employed with the New Brunswick Electrical Power Commission as an Electrical Mechanic for over 40 years retiring in 1987. He attended St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the "Twenty Five Year Club" with NB Power. In addition to his wife, Kathleen (Ryan) Harrington, he is survived by his son, John Harrington (Elle) of Orange Co., California; three daughters, Margaret MacLachlan (Ian) of Bedford, NS, Kathleen Estey (Norm) of Winnipeg, MB, and Patricia Spicer (Peter) of Spencer's Island, NS; one brother, James (Carmel) Harrington of Saint John; 10 grandchildren, Alexandrea, Ryan and Matthew Harrington, Robert, Michael and David MacLachlan, Andrea and Patrick Estey, Katie and Meggie Spicer; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen Harrington. Resting at Cadman Bowness Funeral Home (857-1110), 114 Alma Street, Moncton with visiting hours on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 11 am at St Augustine's Church, Moncton. A reception will follow in the Church Hall.
