Burton John Burns BARTHOLOMEW, NB - Burton John Burns of Bartholomew, NB, passed away December 9, 2005 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Bartholomew on December 27, 1914, he was a son of the late James Edward Burns and Martha Myrtle (Schofield) Burns. Burton was an experienced lumberman who enjoyed hunting and working outside. He is survived by two sisters, Geraldine True of Fredericton and Sister Helen Burns of Miramichi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and his excellent caregivers, Georgie and Murdock Burns of Bartholomew. In addition to his parents, Burton was predeceased by three sisters, Lavine MacDonald, Effie Randall, and Cora McEvoy Watson; and three brothers, Lloyd, Clayton and Carman. Resting at the Father A.A. MacKinnon Memorial Room at Saint Raphael's Parish, Blackville, NB, with visiting hours Monday, December 12, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Raphael's Catholic Church in Blackville on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 11am. Father Vincent Donovan officiating.
