Lillian B. Stevens
Lillian B. Stevens 1930- 2005 Lillian Stevens, 75, of Sunny Brae, Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, December 27, 2005. Lillian was a long time member of the Braesiders and Hogan's Heroes Square Dance Clubs. She thoroughly enjoyed square and round dancing. A frequent traveler, she and her husband Dara, visited a number of countries in recent years. Lillian had many interests in addition to her dancing and traveling such as organizing family gatherings, tending her flower gardens, sewing, quilting, reading and spending her summers at Caissie Cape. Her first love has always been her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by Dara, her loving husband and best friend of 57 years; her two daughters, Judy (Laurie) Levy of White Rock, NS, Cathy (Rod) O'Handly of Windsor Junction, NS; two sons, Jim (Lorraine) Stevens of White Rock, NS, Dale (Bonnie) Stevens of Landmark, Manitoba; grandchildren, Kyle (Melissa) and Rob Levy, Crissie and Tyler Stevens; step grandchildren, Dale and Cameron Thompson and Kendra (Rob) Sarasasan; and her great granddaughter, Roah Levy; one sister, Mary (Tom) Leger of Toronto; three brothers, Louis (Cindy) Vandenburg of Rutland, Vermont, Ern (Irma) Vandenburg of New Horton, NB, Lloyd (Ella) Vandenburg of Amherst, NS; as well as many nieces and nephews. Lillian was predeceased by her parents Louis Vandenburg and Mabel Vandenburg Hough and her brother Charles Vandenburg. As requested by the family there will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation. Interment will take place in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens in the spring.
