Evans M. Steeves Evans M. Steeves, 84, of Indian Mountain, surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, January 5, 2006. Born in O'Neils, son of the late Noble and Bertha (Horsman) Steeves. Evans was retired from Moncton Crushed Stone and was a member of Stilesville United Church. In his retirement he enjoyed working in the woods, cutting wood with his chainsaw for family and friends, fishing and spending time at his camp. Evans will be sadly missed by his wife of 51 years, Ruby (Briggs) Steeves; daughter, Cindy Horsman (Carl), Indian Mountain; son Allan, at home; sisters, Hilda Jones (Vaughn), Indian Mountain, Shirley MacKinnon (Harold), Quispamsis; sisters-in-law Pelma and Reina Steeves; brothers Hedley, Earl (Geraldine), both of Moncton, Billy (Yvonne), Montreal, PQ David (Betty-Lou), Irishtown, Douglas (Violet), Indian Mountain; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Ronald, John, Francis, Claude and Ross. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Saturday 2 to 4, 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, January 8, 2006, 2pm. Rev. Wade Reppert officiating. Reception following the Service. Interment, Stilesville United Church Cemetery.
