Winston Irving Goodwin
Winston Irving Goodwin 1929 - 2005 Winston Irving Goodwin, 76, of the Veteran's Health Centre, Moncton, formerly of Hillsborough, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2005 at the Veteran's Health Centre after a lengthy illness. Winston was born in Moncton on March 4, 1929, the son of the late Winston Sr. and Edith (Locke) Goodwin. He was a Korean War Veteran, a member of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, served with the Canadian Armed Forces, Service Corp. until his retirement. He was a Past Master of Howard Lodge #15, F&A.M.; member of York and Scottish Rite, a member of the Past Master's Unit of Luxor Shriners; life member of Luxor Shriners, life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #32, Hillsborough, N.B. for 46 years. He was a member of the St. Mary's Anglican Church, Hillsborough. He will be deeply missed by his three sisters, Dorothy Reynolds of Edgett's Landing, Ann Morton (Henry) of Lower Coverdale and Carole Sinclair (James) of Lower Coverdale. He will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Keith Reynolds. The family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the Albert County Funeral Home on the evening of January 10, 2006 from 7 to 9pm. Also on January 10th, a Masonic Service will be held at 6:30 pm with the Canadian Legion Service following at 6:45pm. A Memorial Sevice to honor the memory of Winston will be held at the St. Mary's Anglican Church on January 11, 2006 at 2pm with Rev. Rob Salloum officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Hillsborough, at a later date. Donations to the St. Mary's Anglican Church-Memorial Fund, Luxor Shriners-Transportation Fund or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
