George Puddington SACKVILLE, NB - The death of George E. Puddington, age 98 of Sackville, occurred at the Drew Nursing Home. Born in Halifax, NS, he was the son of the late Edmund and Lillian (Street) Puddington. George, a survivor of the Halifax Explosion, was a former Manager of the Royal Bank of Canada and was a charter member of the Mulgrave Lion's Club, a former member of the Tantramar Twirlers, the NB-NS Border Rounders, and the Sackville Golf and Country Club. He was a member of the Sackville United Church. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Isabella Currie. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300). A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at 2 pm, Rev. Dr. Colin Grant officiating. Burial in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
