Jane Lockhart
Jane Lockhart HALIFAX, NS - Jane Lockhart, formerly of Moncton, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at her home in Halifax with her loving life partner, Ken Howard, by her side, after a courageous battle with COPD. Born May 9, 1946 in Hamilton, ON, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Herbert J. and Alice (Brown) Carleton. Jane was a licensed practical nurse and spent 38 happy and meaningful years caring for others. She practiced in Hamilton, Moncton and Halifax. The last 20 years were spent at the VG and QEII hospitals in Halifax. As a young girl, Jane studied piano and loved to hike with her family. She also studied ballet and was recruited by the National Ballet of Canada. She was an avid reader with a wonderful sense of humour. Besides Ken, Jane will be sadly missed by her daughter, Jennifer (Mario Antunes) of Moncton; son, Carleton of Toronto; sisters, Margaret Carleton-Glover (Pat), Geraldine Carleton (Ed); grandson, Brian Haddock and his father, Ken Haddock; niece, Lasha Rojenko (Chris Cambon); and her children's father, David Lockhart (Linda).
