Robert F. Jardine 1913 - 2006 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. Robert Ferguson Jardine, husband of Lillian Jardine, of the Washburn Beach Road, Miramichi, NB passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Saturday evening, January 21, 2006, at the age of 92. Born in Loggieville, he was the son of the late John (Jack) and Margaret (Stymiest) Jardine. Prior to retirement he was the owner/operator of Jardine Trailer Park and Sales as well as the owner/operator of a B/A Service Station. He was a former employee of the W.S. Loggie Co. Ltd., as well as the Miramichi Rehabilation Center. Bob was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and curling especially. He was a former member of the Chatham Chapter of the I.O.O.F. and was a former member of the Chatham Curling Club. He was a member of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi. He was a Veteran of the Second World War, serving in Canada with the R.C.A., Corps of Engineers. He is survived by his wife, the former Lillian Fraser; two daughters, Betty Jardine-Sardin (Joffre), of Shad Bay, NS and Gloria Gallant (Frank), of Miramichi; one son, Shawn Jardine, of Miramichi; two grandchildren, Jody and Jacqueline Gallant; two great grandchildren, Dylan and Isabella Gallant; one sister-in-law, Ruby Jardine; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Georgina MacDonald and Claire Forrest; and two brothers, Mack and James Jardine. Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Monday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Please note, members of Branch # 3, Royal Canadian Legion are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Monday evening, at 7:30 pm for a Veterans Service. Funeral Service will be held from St. Andrews United Church, on Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home or the Canadian Cancer Society, would be appreciated by the family.
