Blair M. Alward
Blair M. Alward HAVELOCK, NB - Blair Milton Alward, 87, of Havelock passed away Thursday, February 2, 2006 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Hicks Settlement, he was a son of the late Weldon and Wavie (Carson) Alward. Blair was a retired foreman with Canada Cement Lafarge, Havelock and was a member and honorary deacon of the Havelock United Baptist Church where he had served on numerous boards throughout the years. Survived by his wife of over 66 years, the former Myrtle Keirstead; sons, Arnold R. (Victoria) of Lower Sackville, N.S., Dickson D. (Lorrie) of Havelock; sisters, Juanita Duplessis (Lloyd) of Douglas, Margaret Pegg (William) of Thaneford On.; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister, Helen Bertram; brothers Leon, Wilfred, Melbourne, Walter and Wallace. Resting at the Havelock Funeral Parlour, 19 Cross St. Havelock (534-2600) with visiting Friday 2 to 5 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Havelock Baptist Church on Saturday, February 4 at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens, Moncton.
