Mrs. Alberta M. Blakely 1906 - 2006 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Alberta Mabel Blakely, widow of the late Douglas L. Blakely, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, Miramichi, passed away at her residence, on Thursday, February 2, 2006, at the age of 99. Born in Shippegan, on November 27, 1906, she was the daughter of the late Albert F. and Margaret (Matthews) Morrison. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's United Church, Shippegan. She was a member of Bathurst Chapter #22, Order of the Eastern Star. She was a former employee of the W.S. Loggie Co. Ltd., in Shippegan, for a number of years. She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Feltmate (Ron), of Miramichi; four grandchildren, Rev. Dana Feltmate (Dolores), of Sydney River, N.S., Karen Dawson (Brian), Holly Daley (Rick), and Stephanie Duffy (Jason), all of Miramichi; ten great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas, in 1976; one sister, Marjorie MacDonald; one brother, Duncan Morrison. Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Sunday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. Andrews United Church, on Monday, February 6, 2006, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
