Alton Pauley
Alton Pauley PENNIAC, NB - The death of Alton Pauley, age 89, of Penniac, NB and formerly of Port Elgin, occurred at the York Manor, Fredericton on Wednesday, February 22, 2006. Born in Cape Spear, he was a son of the late William and Lilah (Allen) Polly. Alton was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church, Port Elgin and an adherent to the United Church in Penniac. Alton will be sadly missed by his wife, Roberta (Dobson) of Penniac; his daughters, Norma (Phil) King of Penniac, Gail Walton of Calgary, AB and Dianne (Rod) Vernon of Calgary, AB; his sons, Robin (Gail) Pauley and Mark Pauley both of Sudbury, ON; his brothers, Carl (Doris) of Port Elgin, Ray (Joan) and Kenneth (Margaret Rose) both of Bayside, NB; his sister, Azora (Clayton) Mills of Hopewell, NS; as well as six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Ivan and Milford and by his sisters, Leota and Hattie. The remains have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 3 W. Main St., Port Elgin (364-1300) from where visitation will be held Saturday, from 12 o'clock noon until the time of the funeral service. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 2 pm., Rev. MacKenzie Campbell officiating. Burial in the Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin in the spring.
