Virginia T. Sweet 1912 - 2006 Virginia Thelma Sweet, 93, formerly of Essex Street, Moncton, passed away at Royal Court in Riverview on Saturday, February 25, 2006. Born in Johnsons Mills, NB on June 17, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Elvis Palmer and Loucinda May (Tower) Reade. Virginia was employed with the T. Eaton Co. for 10 years, and retired from The Moncton Hospital, working for 10 years in the Psychiatric Unit. She is survived by sisters, Marjorie Kay of Moncton, Alice Hicks of Truro; daughters-in-law, Carol A. White of Bedford, NS, Helen (Sweet) Christopher (John) of Moncton, NB; great grandson, Jay White (Tracy and Patrick) Hayward of California; great granddaughter, Kelly MacKinnon (Todd); great-great-grandson, Ewan James and great-great granddaughter, Lucy Ella MacKinnon of Greenfield, NS; and by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, James Alfred White; by her second husband, Austin Sweet of Moncton; a son, James Edward White of Bedford, NS; sisters Mary, Elaine, Orvilla and Orpha; and by brothers, Robert, Kenneth, John, Rupert and George. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, Lutz Street, Moncton on Monday, February 27, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The Funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at 10:30 am with Rev. Albert Snelgrove officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations, in Virginia's memory made to Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
