Hilda K. MacArthur 1914 - 2006 Mrs. Hilda Kanner MacArthur, widow of the late Boyd G. MacArthur, of the Spencer Memorial Nursing Home and formerly of Camden Park Terrace, Moncton and of Miramichi, passed away at her residence, on Saturday, February 25, 2006, at the age of 91. Born in Chatham, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Rebecca (Fransblow) Kanner. She was a homemaker and a retired sales clerk. She was a member of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi; a member and past Noble Grand of Silver Link #61, Rebecca Lodge, Miramichi; a former member of the Golden Circle Senior Citizens Club, Miramichi. She is survived by one daughter, Rose Scott (James), of Moncton; one son-in-law, Gordon Fournier, of Bathurst; two sisters, Rose Ricotta, of Seaside Heights, New Jersey, USA and Bertha Brumer, of Moncton; one brother, Max Kanner, of Moncton; five grandchildren, Jonathan Scott (Caroline), Joanne Fournier, Darlene Lang (James), Sandra Lavigne (Lloyd), Tina Fournier; 11 great grandchildren, Tyler, Bradley, Nathan, Iva, Elizabeth, Emma, Joshua, Kristina, Paul, Andrea, William; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Boyd, in 1975; one daughter, Iva Fournier, in 1984; two sisters, Annie Mogil and Eva Watenmaker; five brothers, Samuel, William, Charles, Harry and Edward Kanner. Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, Miramichi, on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi, on Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire, assisted by Rev. Ross Wiseman. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, later in the spring. Members of the Silver Link Rebecca Lodge #61 are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon, at 2:30pm for a Lodge Service. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Andrews United Church, the Riverside Cemetery Fund or The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation, would be appreciated by the family.
