Violet Roberts 1917 - 2006 BASS RIVER, NB - Violet Roberts of Bass River, NB passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Monday, March 13, 2006. She resided at Autumn Lee Retirement Home, Moncton for several years. Born in River Hebert, NS on December 27, 1917, Violet was the daughter of Millage and Mary (Kelly) Roberts. Violet was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She had five brothers, Pearly, Freeman, Lester, Alfred, Millage (Bill); three sisters, Annie Watkins, Lillian Flanagan and Ethel Roberts. Violet is survived by five sons, James, Richard (Isabelle), Bass River, David, Frederick (Esther), Tagettville, Louis (Cathy), Fords Mills; five daughters, Helen Flanagan (Kenneth), Evelyn Thompson (Earl), Vivian Scott (Glenn), Bass River, Mary Allen (Ray), Beverly Fraser (Willie), Fredericton; 32 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one half-brother, Elliot Flanagan; one half-sister, Bertha Flanagan and many nieces and nephews. Violet was predeceased by her husband, Kelly Roberts in 1991; one son, Walter in 2006 and three grandchildren. Violet was a kind, giving and caring person. She will be forever loved and sadly missed by her family and friends. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252), Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Brown's Yard on Thursday, March 15, 2006 at 2:00 pm.
