Gerald Roy Jones 1929 - 2006 The death of Gerald (Gerry) Roy Jones, 76 years, husband of Dorothy, of Rosedale Ave., Moncton, occurred at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, March 14th, 2006. Born in Edgett's Landing on August 7, 1929, Gerry was the only child of Dalton and Lena (Hicks) Jones. Gerry had retired from the Commercial Sales Division of Robin Hood Multi Foods Ltd after many years service. He was a member of Humphrey Memorial United Church, the U.C.T., the Fiddling Friends, the Moncton Shrine Club, the Scottish Rite, Acacia Lodge #49 F & AM as well as an active volunteer with the Moncton Food Bank. Gerald is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Copp); two daughters, Elaine Goselin (John) of Frankford, ON, Valerie Fryters (Eric) of Guelph, ON; three grandchildren, Christine Johnson of Moncton, Derrick Johnson of Toronto and Erica Middleton of Moncton. He is also survived by three great grandchildren, Dustin Johnson, Brady Middleton and Evan Middleton. Gerry was predeceased by his parents; his son, Raymond and his daughter, Barbara Mae. By request there will not be any visiting hours. Services will be held at Cadman Bowness Funeral Home, 114 Alma Street, Moncton, on Friday March 17th, 2006 beginning with a Masonic Service at 2 pm, immediately followed by a Memorial Service conducted by Rev. Gayle MacDonald. A reception will be held in the reception room of the funeral home following the service. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
