Vernon T. Estabrooks
Vernon T. Estabrooks SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Vernon T. Estabrooks, age 81, of Sackville, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, March 19, 2006. Born in Sackville, he was a son of the late Chappell and Verda (King) Estabrooks. Vernon was a former employee of Enterprise Foundry with 36 years of service, a former security guard at Fort Beausejour, a member of Myrtle Lodge #71 IOOF, Sackville. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the Canadian Army in Canada, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Sackville Branch #26, a member of the Main Street Baptist Church and a member of the Sackville Senior Citizens Club. Vernon will be greatly missed by his daughter, Marolyn Van Geel-Stokes (Johan), Sackville, NB; four grandchildren, Lorri, John (Pam), Lindi (Glenn) and Rodney; five great grandchildren, John, Justin, Nicole, Amanda and Stephanie; a sister, Shirley (Raymond) Wells, Mount Whatley, NB. He was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis (Wry) in 2003; two brothers, Kenneth and Floyd; and a sister, Arvella. Vernon's remains have entrusted into the care of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville, (364-1300) with visitation Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at 2 pm. Burial in the Westcock Cemetery in the spring. Sackville Branch # 26, of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 7:30 pm. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
