Lester C. Lane SYNTON, NB - It is with great sadness that the family of Lester Clifton Lane, 60, announce his passing on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at home surrounded by his family and friends following a courageous battle with cancer. Born at Pine Glen, he was a son of the late Clifford and Marion (Meredith) Lane. Lester and his wife, Debbie were former members of Calvary Baptist Church and Grace Baptist Church. He took great pride in his work, spending 31 years in the fuel delivery business and always had a smile for his many customers. Lester was an avid Nascar fan, which he enjoyed watching with his sons, Michael and Kevin. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, and thoroughly enjoyed family gatherings. He also enjoyed the outdoors and spending time on his all terrain bike. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 40 years, the former Debbie Crossman; his children, Michael (Vicki) of Synton, Kevin (Sue) of Moncton, Tanya Strugnell (Greg) of Riverview; cherished grandchildren, Alyssa, Ava, Abnee, Alex, Ally, Devin, Courtney and Michael. Survived also by sisters, Jean Wilson (Gordon), Frances Wilson, Rowena Eagles and Elizabeth Parker (Kenneth); brothers, Davies (Betty), Wesley (Sharon), Roy (Linda); nieces, nephews; his mother-in-law, Josie Crossman; brothers-in-law, Donald Crossman (Jean), Larry Crossman (Heather), late Harry (Sharon) Crossman; and a close family friend, Tammy Scott. Predeceased by brothers, Eldon, Gordon and George Lane; father-in-law, Alexander Crossman. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372- 4800) with visiting Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and from where the Funeral will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor James Eagles officiating. Interment will be at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton. If so desired, memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. www.keirsteads.ca
