Edith Mae Powell LOCKEPORT, NS - Edith Mae Powell, 92, (wife of late Fred Powell of Dover, NB) and (former wife of Emmett Stephens of Lockeport, NS) passed away Friday, March 24, 2006 at Surf Lodge Nursing Home in Lockeport, NS. She was the daughter of William James Allen and Florence Hardy of Pleasant Pt., NS. She is survived by two sisters, Joan Foote of Canada Hill, NS and Lillian MacKenzie of Lockeport, NS; and sister-in-law, Shirley Allen (wife of the late Charles Perry Allen of Allendale, NS). She has seven children by Emmett Stephens; survived by Robert of Miramichi, NB, Kenneth of Miramichi, NB, Gordon of Canada Hill; two girls, Lottie Faye of Shelburne, NS and Marilyn Belong of Sandy Cove, Digby, NS. She was predeceased by two sons, Raymond and Norman. Funeral Service will be conducted at Fair Haven Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday the 30th of March 2006 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Willard Watling officiating. Burial to follow at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. A time of fellowship to follow the service.
