Mr. Lawson Joseph McLaughlin MIRAMICHI, NB - The death of Mr. Lawson Joseph McLaughlin, husband of Rose (Caissie) McLaughlin of Jessiman Blvd., Miramichi, NB and formerly of Chatham Head, NB, occurred on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 85. Born in Tracadie, NB, he was the son of the late Ernest and Emma McLaughlin. Lawson was retired from the Acadia Mill, Nelson-Miramichi. Besides his wife, Lawson is survived by six daughters, June Rahmer (Peter) of St. Catherine's, ON, Linda Hoekman (Harry) of Miramichi, NB, Sheila Harris (Robert) of Burlington, ON, Karen Sullivan of Miramichi, NB, Brenda Foley (Ronald) of Miramichi, NB, Joy McLaughlin of Toronto, ON; four sons, Roy (Judy) of London, ON, Carl (Wilma) of Brampton, ON, Ronald (Gail) of Miramichi, NB, Gary (Debbie) of Miramichi, NB; four sisters, Rose Saulnier, Doreen Boudreau (Edward), Lily McLaughlin, Anne Barriault; two sisters-in-law, Valida McLaughlin and Stella McLaughlin all of Tracadie, NB; 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Lawson is predeceased by brothers, Sandy and Archie and sister, Mary McMahon. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Chatham Head, NB on Saturday at 1 PM with Father Bob McGuire officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Samuel's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to a memorial of one's choice.
