Annie R. Hicks PETITCODIAC, NB - The death of Annie R. Hicks, age 89, of Petitcodiac, formerly of Sackville, occurred at The Moncton City Hospital on Friday, March 31, 2006. Born in West Sackville, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary (Pitman) Smith. She was a member of the Sackville United Church, and the UCW, a former member of the Sackville Senior Citizen's Club and the Senior Glee Club. Annie will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Marilyn (Edward) Prosser of Petitcodiac and Charleen (Keith) Wornell of Charlottetown; one son, Maurice (Angie) of Sackville; nine grandchildren, Joanne, Steven, Dawn-Ellen,Christine, Patricia, James, Heather, Shawn and Ryan; 12 great grandchildren, Alexander, Kathleen, Russell, Matthew, Adam, Isabel, Blake, Christopher, Matthew, Sara, Kyle and Ryan; and one brother, William (Catherine) Smith of Sackville. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell in 1986; a son, Keith in 1995; brothers, Roy and Hubert; and a sister, Marion. Annie's remains have been entrusted into the care of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300). Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 2 pm, Rev. Gail Hopkirk officiating. Burial in the Sackville Cemetery.
