Diann Johnson of Quarryville, occurred at The Monc Sunday
Diann Olive Johnson 1942 - 2006 QUARRYVILLE, NB - The death of Diann Johnson of Quarryville, occurred at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, April 2, 2006. Born in the Miramichi, February 23, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Barbara (Jardine) Smith. Diann had a 25-year career with Corrections Canada at the Renous Penitentiary and the National Parole Office. Diann's passions were music, dancing, camping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Garnet, of Quarryville; sons Wayne (Corrine) of Moncton, Bradley (Julian) of Ottawa, Gregory (Monique) of Truro; daughter, Kimberley Johnson-Cassidy (Len) of Moncton; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason and Sarah Johnson; brothers, Sterling Smith (Joan), Robert Smith, Debert Smith (Fay); sisters, Faye Gilks (Edward), Gloria Johnson, June MacTavish (Don) all of Newcastle and Lucy Smith (George Rice) of Toronto, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Jack of Newcastle, Frank of Moncton, and a sister, Margaret Johnson of Toronto. With deep respect for Diann's wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home; a private family service will be held. There will be a gathering of family and friends at Chateau Moncton, 100 Main Street, Moncton, New Brunswick on Friday, April 7, 2006 from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm, all are invited. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
