Edna P. Whyte
Edna P. Whyte 1933-2006 MIRAMICHI, NB - Edna Phyllis Whyte, of the Spencer Memorial Nursing Home, Moncton, and formerly of Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Tuesday evening, April 11, 2006, at the age of 72. Born in Center Napan, on July 6, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Ida (Blakely) Whyte. She was a homemaker and a member of Carmel United Church, Napan. She is survived by her long time companion, David MacKenzie; two daughters, Katheryn Robichaud (Robert), of Maugerville, N.B. and Deborah Zaidi, of Pickering, Ont.; three grandchildren, Aadam, Aamir and Azeem; her best friends Wib and Nora Dickson, of Napan; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one infant daughter, Linda Delores; three sisters, Hazel Harding and Annie Watling and Jean Murchison; two brothers, Blair and Arthur Whyte. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Visiting will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St. Miramichi, on Wednesday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Carmel United Church, on Thursday, April 13, 2006, at 1 pm, conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Carmel United Church Building Fund, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Assoc., would be appreciated by the family.
