Kenneth Wilbur Keays

Kenneth Wilbur Keays 1920 - 2006 The death of Kenneth Wilbur Keays, 85 years, husband of Lillian of Ninth Street, Moncton, and formerly of Campbellton, NB, occurred at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, April 27, 2006. Born in Oak Bay, PQ he was the son of the late William and Minnie Keays. Mr. Keays was owner and operator of Ken's Trucking in Campbellton prior to his retirement several years ago. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed fishing, hunting, hockey, baseball and especially watching sports on TV with his wife Lillian. He also enjoyed playing cards. He was a veteran of the Second World War and served overseas. In addition to his wife of 66 years, Lillian (Gionet), he is survived by his daughters Isabell Albert (George) of Miramichi and Eileen LeBlanc (Paul) of Moncton; his sons Raymond (Rose) of Moncton, Robert (Carol) of Boundary Creek and Gary of Dieppe. He is also survived by his brother, Richard (Nellie) of Oak Bay, PQ; a sister Hazel Campbell (late Charles) of Cascapedia, PQ; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother and sister in law Walter (Edna); his sisters and brothers in law Helen Wylie (Frank) and Ruby Wylie (Grant). Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 7, at 3:30 pm in Cadman Bowness Funeral Home (857-1110), 114 Alma Street, Moncton.
