Clayton J. (Clayte) Doyle Sr. 1917 - 2006 MIRAMICHI, NB - Clayton J. Doyle, husband of the late Lina Doyle, passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Friday, May 12, 2006 surrounded by his family at the age of 88. Born in Craigville, he was the son of the late Joseph Doyle Sr. and Agnes Maher. He is survived by one daughter, Joan McEvoy (Donnie); and by sons, Reginald (Betty), Clayton (Peggy), Terry (Rose), Leo (Frances); and by daughter-in-law, Carmel (late Carl), all of Miramichi; as well as 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Bennie and Wilbert (Ebbie) of Miramichi; and sister, Dolly Byrne of Fredericton. Along with his wife, Lina, Clayton was predeceased by his son, Carl; granddaughter, Tammy Doyle; sister, Elizabeth Flanagan; and by brothers, Charles Sr., Joseph Jr., and Merlin. Throughout his active years, Clayton was a retired supervisor from Acadia Forest Products Ltd., Woodlands Division. He was a member of Father Egan Council 8381, Knights of Columbus; the Nelson Miramichi Volunteer Fire Department; and a member of the Nelson Consolidated School District Board of Trustees. He served his parish of St. Patrick's faithfully. Clayton Doyle Sr. is resting at Maher's Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at 11am from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Nelson-Miramichi with Fr. Jim McQuade officiating.
