Mr. Robert J. Thompson 1930-2006 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. Robert James Thompson, husband of Beryl Thompson, of the Weldfield - Collette Road, Napan, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at the age of 76. Born in Napan, on January 9, 1930, he was the son of the late George and Alice (Dickson) Thompson. He was a member of Carmel United Church, Napan and was a former employee of the W.S. Loggie Co. Ltd, Lounsbury Co. Ltd, Kerr Const., Hitchman Const., Frank Williston Ltd., the former CFB Chatham. He is survived by his wife, the former Beryl Cabel; two daughters, Deborah Martin (Greg), of Weldfield and Marilyn O'Keefe, (Stanley), of Napan; three sisters, Anna Dickson (Roland), Margaret Ashford, and Macrena Jardine (Ralph), all of Napan; four brothers, Sonny Thompson (Margie), of Murdock Road, Russell Thompson (Ruby), of Miramichi, Wayne Thompson (Joyce), of Murdock Road, and Paul Thompson, of P.E.I.; one sister-in-law, Barbara Thompson, of Napan; five grandchildren, Joey, Kelly, Jacklyn (Kiley), Tanya (Rheal), Matthew (Cindy), Michael; three great grandchildren, Konner, Hunter and Austin; four step daughters, Sherry Murdock (Paul), Karen, Neva and Bonnie Burke; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Neil Thompson; one brother- in-law, William Ashford. Visiting will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, on Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, June 2, 2006, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Miramichi. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
