Lewis D. Eagles SECOND NORTH RIVER, NB - Lewis Douglas Eagles, 88, of Second North River passed away Thursday July 20, 2006 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Monteagle, he was a son of the late Percy and Annie (Cochrane) Eagles. Lewis was a dairy farmer most of his life and in later years was employed as a carpenter. He was a member of the Second North River Baptist Church and the Harmony Lodge No. 20 F&AM. Salisbury. Survived by his beloved daughters, Heather Gallant (Richard) of Monteagle, Mavis Eagles of Second North River; grandsons, J.R., Andrew and Kyle; a sister, Flora Thorne (Clinton) of Havelock; brother, Stewart (Dorothy) of Alberta; sisters-in-law, Doris Eagles of Salisbury, Annabel Henry of Petitcodiac and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, the former Ruth Wheaton; brother, Malcolm Eagles and sister Annabel Lewis. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Saturday evening 7 to 9p.m. Harmony Lodge will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday July 23, 2006 at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor Mark Hunter officiating.
