Susan M. McGill SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Susan McGill, age 104 years, occurred at the Drew Nursing Home, Sackville, on Friday, August 11, 2006. Born in Buckie, Scotland in 1902, she was the daughter of the late James & Mary (Cowie) Stuart. Immigrating to Canada with her husband, Duncan McGill in 1929, she settled in Point de Bute, moving to Sackville in 1940. She is a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Sackville. A community minded person she gave of herself, even to knitting for the Canadian Red Cross, after taking up residency in the Drew Nursing Home. Predeceased by her husband, Duncan and her son, William in 1974, she is survived by a son, James Sackville, one grandson, Jimmy (Gail) and one great grandson, Edward. The remains have been forwarded for cremation under the professional care of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300). A graveside service will be held in the Sackville Cemetery at a time to be announced. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
