Ezra "Owen" Dickson, 77, Bible Hill, passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro.
Born on the Magdalen Islands, he was a son of the late Everett and Viola (Rankin) Dickson.
Owen was a Telegrapher for Canadian National Railroad, Atlantic Coastline Railroad, Boston Railroad and Maine Railroad for several years. With his father they owned and operated Dickson's Dry Cleaners on Waddell Street, Truro.
Surviving are his companion of 35 years Stella (Mosher) Croft; daughters Valerie (David) Lewellyn, Karen (Daniel) Dorey, Kim (Vince) Brougham, Sherry Dickson, all of Bridgewater, Paulette (Nick) Whipple, Ayers Cliff, Quebec; eight grandchildren; sister Ruth Rivers, Abercrombie; several nieces and nephews.
Owen is predeceased by granddaughter, Rassia.
There will be a graveside service in the spring at Terrace Hill Cemetery, Truro. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
