Alexander W. MacNaughton 1925 - 2006 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. Alexander William MacNaughton, husband of the late Jessie MacNaughton, of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, and formerly of Napan, passed away at his residence, on Tuesday afternoon, October 10, 2006, at the age of 80. Born in Black River Bridge, on October 19, 1925, he was the son of the late R. James and Myrtle J. (MacDonald) MacNaughton. He was an adherent of St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge; a past member of the C.N.I.B. of Miramichi; a former Chairman of the Residents Council, of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home. He is survived by two nieces, Myrtle Allen, of Moncton and Shirley Lucas (Denton), of Barrie, Ont.; three nephews, Norman Anderson, of Texas, Harry Anderson, of California and Leonard Anderson, of Oklahoma. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Jessie M. Taylor; four sisters, Nina Anderson, Mary Dick, Iva McLenaghan and Estella MacNaughton. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, October 13, 2006, at 10 am, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery, Black River Bridge. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Black River Cemetery Fund, the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
