George Sr. Murphy 1911-2006 After a long and fulfilling life, George Murphy passed on peacefully at the Welland Hospital on Friday, November 3, 2006 at the age of 95. He is reunited with his beloved wife, Inez, who passed away in 1998. Dearly loved father of George Jr. and his wife, Sophie Ann. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Kyle (Angela), Ryan (Jamie) and Bridget, and his great-grandson, Tyler. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Margaret Murphy; his brothers, Allen, Frank, Robert, Mark, Dan, Justin, Earl, Elmer, and Gerald Murphy; and his sisters, Annie MacLellan and Lauretta Murphy. Mr. Murphy was a Veteran of WWII. Friends will be received at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence 19 Young Street, Welland, Ontario, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers on Monday at 2:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Parish Community of St. Kevin on Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock.
