
Hollis Collier
Hollis Collier 1923-2006 TURTLE CREEK, NB - Hollis Benjamin Collier of Turtle Creek passed away Thursday November 9, 2006 at the Moncton Hospital. Born at The Glades, he was a son of the late Allie and Flossie (Garland) Collier. Hollis retired from Lounsburys' Automotive as an auto-body repairman. He enlisted with the Perth Regiment of Ontario in World War Two serving in Continental Europe and was wounded in action. He is survived by his children Douglas G. (Jackie) of England, Philip H. (Darlene) of River Glade and Diana Morris (Dale Ogilvie) of Petitcodiac; sister Carman Wortman of Riverview, six grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son Vincent; seven brothers Earl, John, Raymond, Brock, Winslow, Dean and Allie; sisters Avilda Carter and infant Roberta. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Friday 7 to 9 p.m. The Salisbury Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a memorial service at 6:45 p.m. Friday November 10, 2006 at the Funeral Home. The Funeral will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday November 11, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Steven Brown officiating. Interment at the Glades Baptist Cemetery.
