Cora Etta Conner Kennie 1917-2006 RIVERSIDE-ALBERT, NB - Cora Etta Conner Kennie, 89, of Forest Dale Home, Riverside-Albert, formerly of New Horton, went to be with her Lord on November 9, 2006 passing away peacefully in her sleep at the nursing home. Cora was born in Alma, N.B. on September 6, 1917 the daughter of the late Thomas and Lottie (MacFarlane) Martin. She was a housewife and cherished the time she spent raising her family, her family meant everything to her. She loved the outdoors often admiring her view from her back door in New Horton. She was a true animal lover from cats, dogs, racoons to any animal she would see, she loved to watch them all. She was a member of the Alma Baptist Church and her faith was very important to her, reading her Bible daily when she was able. She was a beloved mum and grammie who will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Elsie Colpitts (Willie) of Saint John; her three sons, Ensley Conner of Salisbury, Alonzo Conner (Bernice) and Alma Conner (Joie) both of Moncton; and by her nine precious grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband, Borden Conner and second husband, Murray Kennie; two sisters, Myretta Wilson, Ella Hanlon; and by two grandsons, Alan Conner and Stephen Conner. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Sunday, November 12, 2006 at 2:30pm. She will be laid to rest in the Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton, N.B. Donations to the Forest Dale Home or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
