Robert V. ''Bob'' Thornton 1952 - 2006 Robert V. ''Bob'' Thornton, 55, of Moncton, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 11, 2006. Born July 18, 1952 in Moncton, he was the son of Lena ( LeBlanc )Thornton and the late Victor Thornton. Bob was an Appliance Repair Technician for thirty five years prior to his death. His humor, kindness and love for his family and friends will be sadly missed. Bob enjoyed spending his time at the family summer home in Tidnish, NS. Bob and his constant K9 companion Max welcomed everyone with a warm smile and a big hug. Bob was an exceptional father and his unconditional love for Stephanie and Jason will remain in their hearts and guide them into the future. Beloved husband to Cheryl Atkinson; cherished father to Stephanie and Jason; he also leaves to mourn his Mother, Lena (LeBlanc) Thornton; one sister, Nancy Tozer (Sterling); one brother, Doug (Pauline Duguay) all of Moncton, and by several nieces and nephews and friends. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of departure (10:45). The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Moncton. There will be a Parish prayers Monday evening 8:30pm at the funeral home.
