B. Lorna M. MacKenzie 1923-2006 FREDERICTON, NB - Marjorie Lorna Barbara MacKenzie, widow of the late Byron R. MacKenzie, formerly of the North Napan Road, Napan, passed away at her residence, at the York Manor Nursing Home, Fredericton, on Sunday, November 12, 2006, at the age of 83. Born in Black River Bridge, on October 9, 1923, she was the daughter of the late James T.D. and Ruth Marjorie (Ullock) Watling. She was a homemaker and a member of Carmel United Church, Napan as well as a life member of the U.C.W. of Carmel United Church. Prior to retirement, Lorna was an employee of Hotel Dieu Hospital, in Chatham, employed as an office worker. Prior to moving to Fredericton, in 2004, she lived all of her life in both the Black River Bridge and Napan areas, where she provided loving support to her family and community in so many ways. She was an accomplished cook as well as an avid knitter and crafter. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Morrison (David), of Fredericton, Carol MacMillian of Fredericton; one son, Robert MacKenzie (Judy), of North Napan Road; five grandsons, Robert MacKenzie (Lea), Scott MacKenzie, all of Red Deer, Alberta, Barry MacKenzie, of Antigonish, N.S., Craig MacMillian of Red Deer, Alberta, Jon Morrison of Calgary, Alberta; two granddaughters, Carrie Feenan (David) of Charlottown, P.E.I., Sara Morrison of Fredericton; four great grandchildren, Coady and Cassie Feenan, Jade Forbes, Keaton MacKenzie Clairmont; four sisters, Leona Fitzpatrick (James), of Miramichi and Christine Taylor (Harold), of New Dundee, Ont., Hazel Williston, New Hamburg, Ont., Margaret Medwin, Kitchener, Ont., as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Byron, in 1997; one son- in-law, Neil MacMillian; one sister, Ruby MacInnis; four brothers, Harry, Arnold (Arnie), Eldon and Byron (Byde) Watling. Visiting will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King Street, Miramichi, on Tuesday, from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. Stephens United Church, Black River Bridge, on Wednesday, November 15, 2006, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Black River Cemetery Fund, the Canadian Cancer Society, or any charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated by the family.
