Shirley M. Stiles
Shirley M. Stiles 1926 - 2006 ELGIN, N.B - Shirley M. Stiles, of Elgin, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2006, at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 80. Born in Elgin, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Annie (Killam) Graves. She was a Girl Guide Leader, member of the Trefoyl Guild, and a member of the First Elgin Baptist Church. During World War II she worked at the Clarke-Ruse Aircraft Repair Facility in Dieppe, and for a number of years as a crew foreman for JD Irving. She is survived by her children; Eloise Bannister (Rev. Delbert) of Elgin, Dale (Laura) of Pollett River; sisters, Barbara Geldart (Loris) of Elgin, Margaret Purdy of Saint John; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth; son, Robert; and brother Dean Graves. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac, where visiting hours will be held Thursday, November 16, 2006, from 7 to 9 pm, Friday, November 17, 2006, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from the First Elgin Baptist Church on Saturday, November 18, 2006, at 2 pm, Rev. Delbert Bannister and Pastor James Hammond officiating.
