Amy Hicks AMHERST, NS - The death of Amy Hicks, age 91, widow of Elmer Hicks, of Amherst and formerly of Sackville, NB occurred at the Cumberland Regional Health Center, Upper Nappan on Sunday, November 19, 2006. Born in Westcock NB, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Daisy (Bembridge) Cole. She belonged to the ACW at St. Ann's and was a knitter and quilter. Amy was known for her doughnuts and was a gracious host. She was formerly employed with Mount Allison University and assisted her late husband Elmer in his volunteer work with the Saint John Ambulance. Amy will be sadly missed by her son, Russell of Brantford ON; three daughters, Madelyn Davies of Oakville ON, Nettie Beaton, Amherst, NS and Arvella (Jerry) Cormier of Lorneville, NS; 1 brother Clarence (Dud) (Madeline) Cole of Port Elgin; 15 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren and a son-in-law, Harris Chapman, Oakville, ON. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer, son, Norman, daughter, Doris and brothers, Eric, Everett, Henry, Charles, Laurie and Lorne and sisters, Jean, Mabel and Beatrice. The remains have been entrusted into the care of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300). Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral service to be held at St. Ann's Anglican Church, Westcock on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 11:30 am followed by a time of tea and fellowship in the church hall, Rev.
