Gertrude I. Rose 1919 - 2006 Mississauga, On. - Gertrude I. Rose, 87, of Mississauga, Ontario passed away on November 21, 2006 at the Campbellford Memorial Hospital. Gertrude was born in Demoiselle, Albert County, N.B. on November 20, 1919, the daughter of the late Bliss and Bernice (Simmons) Wilson. She was a very special lady and she loved her family very much, they were her pride and joy. She was a very active and faithful member of the Lyndwood United Church. Her faith was very important to her and she was a true example of how to live your life for the Lord. She will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever. She will be deeply missed by her loving children Gary Rose (Gabrielle Huebner) of Brampton, Ont. and Ruth Dawson (Jack) of Campbellford, Ont.; her cherished grandchildren Melanie Cartwright (Bill) , John Dawson (Kelly and child Breanna), Donald Dawson (Tabitha) all of Campbellford, Ont.; her precious great grandchildren, Skyla, Alexandra and Dawson; two sisters Mary Jessiman of Riverview and Charlotte Young (Bill) of Tesswater, Ont; three brothers, Reg Wilson (Katie) of Hillsborough, Harold Wilson (Eileen) of Albert Mines and Carmen Wilson (Ruby) of Stoney Point, NY, USA. She will also be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband John Rose; her special friend Harold McKay; sister Helen and by a brother Carl. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Friday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 1pm with Rev. Carol Mullin officiating. She will be laid to rest by her late husband in the Curryville United Cemetery, Curryville, N.B.
