Kathleen “Kaye” Donelda MacLeod, of Salt Springs formerly of Halifax, passed away March 6, 2009, at her home.
Born in Antigonish she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Annie (MacDonald) Martin.
Kaye grew up in Lourdes where she was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church.
She later moved to Ontario where she was married and then returned to Halifax where she and her husband Don started their own business, MacLeod’s Lawn Equipment Ltd. Kaye worked at the family business for a number of years with her husband and daughter Kathy.
Surviving are her daughter, Kathleen “Kathy” MacLeod, Salt Springs; grandsons, Donald Gould, Edmonton; Andrew Gould, Halifax; sister, Virginia Melanson, Moncton; partner, Gerald Reaume, Peterborough, Ontario.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald; brothers, John and Leo.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation at the request of the deceased.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday March 10th in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
No flowers by request. Donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
A very special thank-you is extended to friend Cheryl MacDonald, also Dr. Farrell and the staff of the Aberdeen Palliative Care and the Pictou County V.O.N.
