ANITA MARIE MARKLE
April 14, 1948 - March 4, 2009
Anita passed away at home on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 in Campbell River, B.C. She was predeceased by her father Elmer Stewart and her grandson Bradley Hachey. Anita was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia, but lived in several provinces over the course of her adventurous life. She loved to travel and had the opportunity to see most of the country including the high Arctic, where she met and fell in love with her husband Murray. Anita enjoyed the many trips they took, both in Canada and abroad; especially Arizona, where she could relax in the sun amongst the citrus trees and watch the humming birds. Anita was a loving wife, mother and grandmother with a zest for life and a sparkle in her eyes. Her love for dancing and her caring, giving nature made a lasting impression to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was dearly loved and will be missed by her family and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2009 at the Holy Family Parish in Amherst, N.S. at 9:30 a.m. Donations made in Anita’s memory to the A.L.S. Society of Canada, 208-1600 West 6th Ave., Vancouver, B.C. would be appreciated.
