Ruby M. Hicks Ruby M. Hicks, 87, of Moncton, with members of her family at her side, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday, December 3, 2006. Born in Mount View, she was the daughter of the late Leander and Annie (Read) Ayer. Ruby was a former Home Care Worker, member of Parkside Baptist Church and member of the Lois Winters W.M.S. She enjoyed knitting, quilting and reading, however her family and her grandchildren were most precious to her. Ruby will be sadly missed by her husband of over 68 years, Kenneth W. Hicks; sons, Norman (Sheila), Saint John, Richard (Ann), Sackville, Larry (Eva), Moncton, Philip (Karen), Brookfield, NS; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents, Ruby was predeceased by her daughter, Carol; sisters, Vivian, and Lena; brothers, Herman, Gerald, Floyd, and Allison. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday, December 5, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, December 6, 2006, 1:30pm. Pastor Ken Fillmore and Pastor Jim Alley officiating. Reception following the service. Interment at Four Corners Cemetery, Middle Sackville.
