Constance Aileen (Piers) Palmer 1927 - 2006 Constance Aileen (Piers) Palmer, 79, wife of the late Robert (Bob) Palmer, passed away peacefully at ProTem Nursing Home, Mountain Road, Moncton, after a lengthy illness on Saturday, December 16, 2006. Born at Moncton, NB, on August 31, 1927, Connie was the daughter of the late Major Howard Piers and the late Helen (Armstrong) Piers. Connie worked at Bowman's Insurance Agency and Jones-Foster Insurance prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. George's Anglican Church in Moncton and was a past member of the Willing Workers of the Church. She took a great interest in her Church. Connie also was very deeply involved in needlework, especially knitting and cross-stitch. She was a past member of the Chickadee Chapter of Needlearts in Moncton and created many beautiful works of art in cross-stitch. Connie is survived by her two children, Bob (Brenda) Palmer, of Madison, Wisconsin, USA, and Judy (Bev) Estabrooks, of Riverview, NB; four grandchildren, Tanya (Joey) Breau, of Riverview, NB, Scott (Carrie) Estabrooks, of Riverview, NB, Rob Estabrooks, of Riverview, NB, and Adam Palmer, of Madison, Wisconsin, USA; two great-granddaughters, Rebecca and Sydney Estabrooks, of Riverview, NB; one brother, Jim (Peggy) Piers, of Moncton, NB; one brother-in-law, Edward (Violet) Palmer, of Moncton, NB; and by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Connie was predeceased by one brother, Lynds, and one sister, Frances Atkinson. Visiting hours will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Monday, December 18, 2006. Service will be held from Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick, Canadian Cancer Society (New Brunswick Division), or a charity of the donor's choice.
